(UPDATED) SpaBoom Client Alert: Authorize.net experiencing problems due to fire

July 3rd, 2009 • Posted by Stephany Toman • Permalink

UPDATE: Most transactions are now being reliably processed by Authorize.net again as of July 3, 2009, at 11:00 am.

Authorize.net, as of July 2, 2009, at approximately 11:10 PM, is working on restoring transaction processing capabilities to everyone, but it is currently down due to a fire at their primary data center. They have created a special Twitter account for all users to monitor their status. You can follow Authorize.net's updates by clicking here.

If you would like to temporarily change your SpaBoom credit card processing to Manual: Login to your SpaBoom administrative account; select the Setup tab; select Basics; then scroll down to the 'Credit Card Processing' section and set Processing to Manual.

By choosing Manual processing, you will need to monitor your email for notification of Instant Gift Certificate sales, and process those sales manually until Authorize.net service is back online. Once Authorize.net is up: Login to your SpaBoom administrative account; select the Setup tab; select Basics; then scroll down to the 'Credit Card Processing' section and set Processing back to Authorize.net.
