Allergy Sufferers Find Relief at the Spa

sniffles.jpgThe spring winds whipped up terrible allergies in the Southwest this season. For me it has meant months of digesting pills, inhaling small particles of medicine and sucking on an endless assortment of cough drops. After prolonged bouts of drainage and pressure I finally found relief in a sinus massage designed specifically to target these terrible allergies. It seemed too good to be true and it really provided the quick relief that months of medicine had not produced.

According to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America,

An estimated 50 million Americans suffer from all types of allergies (1 in 5 Americans). Allergy prevalence overall has been increasing since the early 1980s across all age, sex and racial groups.

Visit the Asthma and Allergy Foundation website.

I wondered why aren’t spas promoting the Sinus Facial during prime allergy seasons? It provides clients with a supplement to pills and inhalers and the calming environment of a spa inspires wellness. My sinus massage targeted facial pressure and the quick relief was restorative to my worn out body.

If your spa offers these facials, let your clients know they are available. Use the SpaBoom email-marketing tool to send and email out to all your clients and let them know your spa can provide relief.

I felt much better giving my local spa the equivalent of a co-pay, and the instant relief was priceless.

  1. Yes, you can use the Japanese Jade roller to target pressure points along with either hot rocks or steam to open the sinuses. This can be a stand-alone treatment or an add-on to a facial or massage.
