I shall add a few points regarding SpaBooker that Daniel missed. The SpaBooker program is a next generation platform for managing your business and for marketing in todays new internet environment. No one has more experience and industry knowledge of how to help spas drive revenue than SpaFinder via technology and the internet. We know full-well the importance of spas being able to securely maintain their own databases and customers, that is an easy given, they are secure and contractually so. One other question on the blog was about pricing. Here is how our model works, and we are looking at patenting it, as it is really spectacular for spas. SpaBooker has teamed up with the largest credit card processors in the US and brings you credit card rates that in many cases are .25% to 1% LOWER than many spas current credit card fees. SpaBooker takes .5% through the credit card company to allow you to have the total front-end sales management system and be marketed all over the internet, where customers by-pass your reception desk and make direct bookings, as well as on SpaFinder.com. This can be also done on your spa's website or other places you put up your inventory for sale on the net. So, in the end the SpaBooker program can actually save you money to implement and you get a online booking solution and front-end management system, even might actually make some money by putting it in if your credit card charge fee's are more the .5% over what this program offers. Remember, there are NO initial upfront costs, you get a full system that is tied into the credit card savings program and no additional other fees. A program like this one without being high tech and on the internet cost from $7500 to $15,000 UP FRONT. Upgrades and maintenance are all included, no extra per user or yearly fee's. Last but not least, spa's on this system are our best salespeople, ask them. One spa owner said..."I would have to be stupid not to be on this system". Well those are fairly strong words but you might just look at the program then decide... signed, Pete Ellis, CEO SpaFinder

...and if you want to talk to me directly 212-716-1210. We are all on the firing line to make this work for spas at our company.

Thank you for raising this very important point. Data security should be top of mind for every single business. As such, when we started building SpaBooker one of the first things we considered was how to keep every spa's information private, safe and secure. To ensure this, the SpaBooker system is actually hosted in different physical data centers than any SpaFinder systems. It runs on completely different technologies than SpaFinder.com, and is, in fact, completely separate (our offices are even on different floors). Furthermore, if you read the fine print of our contract, we plainly state that every business' customer information is theirs and theirs alone. SpaFinder has no right whatsoever to it.

We would love to tell you more about the features and benefits of SpaBooker, so please give us a call at +1 (866) 721-5580.

If you feel like giving SpaFinder complete access to your data and limiting your ability to work out side the "SpaFinder" box then this is the right solution for you. On the other hand, if you prefer NOT to be bound by SpaFinder then you may want to try some of the other revenue based spa management applications on the market.

We are working on this integration and expect it to be available in June of this year. This will also allow a SpaBoom user to track all of their Gift sales in one reporting interface. Needless to say we're very excited about this functionality.

I currenlty use an online appointment services and looked at the SpaBooker website to compare their rates to what I currently pay. I couldn't find anything that showed how much their service is other than to say they charge a small percentage of every booking. Seems a bit vague to me to able to compare. Disappointing that they aren't more forthcoming like SpaBoom is.

So once the integration is complete, would the customer's credit card get automatically processed when purchasing a SpaBoom GC off our website/Spa Emergency, if we are using SpaBooker? That would be great.

Thanks, Tom, for the great comment regarding SpaBoom.

A quick FYI: Very soon, SpaBoom will become tightly integrated with SpaBooker. This means that if you're using SpaBooker as your spa or salon management software, all the gift certificates sold through SpaBoom will automatically appear within SpaBooker.

We're excited about the relationship and potential!

I have just recently converted to using SpaBooker and I am very happy with all the features of the online appointments and point of sale software has to offer. This is what I needed and wanted back in the 1990s when I first computerized the appointment book. It also works well with the SpaBoom website as well. I haven't seen a better selection of gift certificates than what SpaBoom provides.
