O Father where art thou?

Father's Day is right around the corner, and we want to know what kind of cool marketing you guys are doing to entice your clients to buy Instant Gift Certificates this year.
Have you added Father-specific services and/or packages to make it super easy for gift buyers to make the right choice? If so, what have you added, and how did you come up with the ideas? There's been a lot of media lately discussing how men like to 'spa', and we're curious what you've found as well.
Have you planned an email to your clients this year? We've provided one entitled 'A Great Gift for Dad' in the chute that will go out automatically on June 11th if you'd like to just let it sail. If not, edit it in Setup, Email Marketing, to your satisfaction.
Are you promoting your Instant Gift Certificates in your print ads, on your signage, and in house? Remember the Instant POP [go to Setup, Instant POP, to explore] feature makes it super easy to print out mini-posters showing everyone how beautiful your Instant Gift Certificates really are!
Let us know what you're doing to make this Father's Day extra special for all the Dads out there, and how you're garnering the attention of the millions of gift buyers seeking the ideal gift for the Dad in their lives!
Happy pre-Father's Day, SpaBoomers!

Instead of "Father's Day" we created a "Family Time At The Spa" Event for our clients. We posted two "Father's Day" Gift Certificates on our web site for clients to choose from, plus we send out an email for the day's event that includes a live band, a cook out, a moonwalk for kids and lots of prizes (dinner for two at our favorite restaurant, 18 hole golf tickets for two, free training sessions with Fitness Together, etc).
We were sold out for Mother's Day so we know to market to more than the men on our list. This year we market to the entire family and try to involve everyone in the community. Our prizes were all donated by our networking partners and as a result we got the media's attention. Two local newspapers are advertising the event.
We offer the prizes to the first 8 clients that book appointments between now and that day. The event is prepaid or sold as Gift Certificates that must be redeemed that day.
We also market to single women, (after all they are both mother and father and deserve extra pampering).
The response has been great up to now. The women are actually calling in to see if they can get the Father's Gift Certificates for themselves
. Sure!!! Why not?!?
Love to hear what every one else is doing.
Love your idea, Cathie!
In the past we have partnered with a local fitness center and sold packages that included sports massage, personal trainer sessions free t-shirts etc… Unfortunately the gym change owners and the owner had no vision and did not like to partner with other businesses. (No surprise one year later they were out of business!!!)
Overall we have found when marketing for men the simpler the better. We are in the midwest and the majority of men are not into the whole "spa" experience but love a good massage. We tend to sell a lot of massage packages (5 one hour massages etc…) for fathers and just the plain one hour massage (always are best sellers).
We are trying to get more men in our spa in general and are using Fathers Day to try and drive our male client base up. I was able to get my hands on a pair of box seat Red Sox tickets from my credit card processing company and we are using them as a prize for gift certificates. We bought baseballs and are writing on them as the actual gift certificate. Then we will pick a winner at a local bar/restaurant in July. We advertise in house, in our paper, and mailed out 800 flyers thru the chamber of commerce which sends them to all their members at a nominal fee.
I love the idea above of buying a package of 5… what percentage off are you using?
