A spa owner knows they hired the wrong web designer when…
- You start Googling his fancy web designer speak and realize he is full of crap.
- Spring and Summer have left you behind and you still don’t have a website.
- You call his professional references and they all seem to have a torrid case of Turrets.
- The web designer’s personal references are his middle school teachers.
- He won’t look you in the eye when he hands you the bill.
- You realize expensive also means crappy.
- When you ask them about SEO they look puzzled.
- They play music on their own website.
- They keep Flashing you.
- It looks like they were drunk when they designed the site.
We're probably never going to run out of these, so share what you've got and we'll continue the series! Don't forget to read the first post.

These posts seem pointless to me and I would vote to end the wrong designer series. These rant sessions add no value. They're not even funny. Some of the best posts I've seen came in the form of .pdf files… i.e., top 10 ways to sell more GC's online. Let's see more of that and collectively share what is working instead of ranting about crappy designers. We get the point. I think that's why we're SpaBoomers to begin with.

I get SEO but I'm paying $300/mo. and I'm still 6th on Google for my category. How about what makes a firm "the right fit" for a spa? Geeks, techies, nerds and designers that are more hat than cattle prey on folks like us, we need you to tell us how to avoid them.

I agree with Robert Luu 100%. That a word of caution is appropriate in dealing with any profession, but that bashing web designers is not necessary, funny or a productive use of our time. They could just as easily bash the massage profession based on a handful of losers that we also have.
