sbblogoutsideofthebox.jpgThe gift of spa is the perfect corporate gift for an employee. HR Managers struggle each year to find new and interesting ways of saying "thank you" to their employees. In this stressed out economy, the gift of tranquility and peace goes above and beyond traditional employee gifts.

Make a list of local companies that have a significant number of employees and see if you can get in touch with their HR department or Corporate Gift Representative. Talk to them and let them know you can provide the perfect employee gift this season. Many times HR managers look for gifts that are flexible and can be used by both men and women. Make sure you offer gift certificates and let them know you can custom design a set of services and products for a group of customers.

Establishing yourself as a corporate gift source for employers can bring in a steady stream of gift revenue for your spa business.

The gift of spa is a gift that counts. It is a special "thank you" that will have meaning and provide a wellness benefit for the employee.

  1. Great idea. Going to the Chamber of Commerce in your area could be a helpful resource in identifying these businesses that have a significant number of employees. How about offering a 10% discount to their particular company? What about offering to do chair massages at their offices as their "thank you" gift?

I have launched our Corporate Spa Connection Program and the first part of this was to offer volume discounts to corporations. I wrote the program, launched it on our website, sent it in the mail with our brochure to all businesses over a certain employee number, contacted our Chamber who is going to blast it to their members, and gave it to our Governor in person. We have held cocktail hours at the spa to select individual businesses to target groups and cross-market. We just had our cocktail hour for all hotels and inns in the area. It is very important to tie in business to our spa. I am a physical therapist and I am promoting our wellness aspect to all business and hoping to incorporate more programs inside their business such as stress reduction, ergonomics, stretching, skin care. I have given my contact information to all Corporate partners and it goes thru me directly, not my scheduling staff. I did this in order to give business the best customer service and a can do attitude. We have hand delivered our program to bank presidents, hr directors, and business leaders. We are hoping as Christmas approaches, we have all our bases covered and the phone starts ringing!
