I've been very pleased with the articles, info, advice, tips and support I've received from DaySpaOwner.com (I joined). Where else can you receive the personal biz and consulting attention for such a nominal fee??? I often run across really good articles on a fee-based site but when I get cut off (*must pay fee to continue*)... it's no surprise to me. There are very few *free* business-based sites. I guess that's why I'm a little confused as to why the email you sent the owners appeared to have a sarcastic undertone to it (please take no offense to my personal observation). I'm not sure what response would have sufficed since the door to internet etiquette (courtesy) swings both ways.

As a moderator, I know the countless volunteer hours owners/moderators put into their boards and positive feedback is so appreciated. However, *if* someone paid a membership fee and did not receive what they were promised... I would more than understand negative feedback.

In all fairness, Chris provides a wonderful *free* professional message board (SpaBoard) for service providers and owners. However, the fee-based DaySpaOwner.com site is much more involved and includes professional consulting (expensive to say the least).

With that said, isn't it nice to know that we have *choices* (to join a fee-based site or a free site or both)?

Are you serious? You are a professional consultant? Chris, this is a network of YES, people trying to grow their businesses, and YES even stay in business with the economy the way it is today... precisely why I share info with them. Are you that threatened that you won't get any business? A lot of people need the product you offer. It is entirely up to them whether or not they can afford your service just like it is entirely up to my consumer/client whether they can afford my service(s). You discredit yourself with your unprofessional emails to me. All I did was express my disappointment in not being able to finish reading an article that I felt would enlighten me without having to pay fee to do it and you can't handle the response to that? How do you even handle business? Not all people want to do business with you, just like not all people want to do business with me. After your email to me and my posting of it on here to "let people decide for themselves" you send me another when I haven't even corresponded with you. I would not do business with you at all, especially now, as a direct result of your unprofessionalism. As I politely stated before, good luck with your business.

Hi Stephanie,

Thanks for going out of your way to try to discredit us on spaboom.

First, your info is incorrect. It’s $19/month, $228/year (comes with a free $250 consult) or $678 in SAVINGS with the deluxe option.

Second, it’s not the SAME info. SpaTrade reposts previously published articles, such as articles from dermascope or skin,inc. Our info is EXCLUSIVE and consists of more than a magazine reprint or quickie check list.

If you have an issue with paying for something worthwhile (but expect your clients to pay for your services) please don’t join. But why try to dissuade everyone else from considering it. MANY spas are literally on the verge of going under, losing not only their dream, but their lives savings and their home. A $10,000 consultant (or $250/hour) –OR- my site, is what can save them.

Do you think $19/month isn’t worth saving someone’s dream?

Do you think $19/month isn’t worth DOUBLING YOUR INCOME?

At least let them decide for themselves.

Received a "thank you for signing up" email from DaySpaOwner and sent them the email below... their response is also attached at the top... professional eh? I'll let you decide for yourself.

<blockquote>
Hi Stephanie,

SpaBoard is also great and free (and ours) as well as the weekly profit tip you’ve signed up for.

Sorry you feel $10,000 worth of consulting isn’t worth $19/month.

Got real excited there for a moment, went to check the site out and read a couple of articles but had to "subscribe" at $29.95 a month or $299 a year to get info... bummer... www.spatrade.com is FREE... same good info.
