Tune up your Instant Gift Certificates for the holidays

Although I ran across holiday decorations at Costco back in August, now that we're past Thanksgiving, we're really in the holiday shopping season. The power of Instant Gift Certificates will just get stronger and stronger the closer we get to December 25th.

That means it's a great time to do a quick tune up to make sure your spa's Instant Gift Certificates are ready for the holiday rush:

  • Use Events to promote your holidays specials: you can highlight specific services, with a discount if you desire. Events appear automatically for Dynamic Websites, or you can add a link to your existing website (here's how). The "Offer description" on featured services also appears in Instant Gift Certificates — the perfect way to bring attention to the perfect gift.
  • If you haven't setup an Event for the Holidays, you'll find one already out there: "The Perfect Gift for the Holidays!". You can just add your Featured Services, and you're off and running!
  • It's the GC Category on your event that causes Holidays GC designs to suddenly start appearing under Most Popular in Instant Gift Certificates, and you decide which those are. Just go to Setup, GC Designs. Select your favorite Holidays designs and change "Mark as Most Popular" to "For this category only". If you say "Yes", the design will always appear in Most Popular, even after the Holidays.
  • There's more you can do with GC Designs: hide any designs you don't like, and use the little green arrows to re-arrange the order, putting your favorites at the top.
  • Another great benefit to adding specials in Events: they'll appear on your listing in Spa Emergency, for additional exposure for your spa. Imagine all those folks looking for last-minute gifts for the the out-of-state recipients on their list.

Use Events and GC Designs to give your Instant Gift Certificates a little tune up for the holidays! For more information on Events, see SpaBoom Help.
